I spoke with a lot of players today who seemed both surprised and disappointed that the playoffs were going to be on the July 4th weekend. Yes I know that the games are actually on the 6th, however many players will be gone.

Does anyone else agree that perhaps we should push the playoffs to start the next weekend?

Totally agree!!! Please move the playoffs back a weekend!!

Agree. 95% of my team will be out of town Sunday or driving back to lincoln. THere will be several forfeits.

It should work for State games as well as playoffs would only go to the 19th. I originally thought that the post about the season being extended was in regards to the 4th of July and making that a bye week. Should of known better.

So this will not interfere with state games? Because we have many guys in that but otherwise if it does not interfere with state games then we are all for moving playoffs back.

Depends which state games event. I know basketball is the 19/20th.

We have guys in the basketball state games. But depends on the times, I am sure the Manley team will be able to make it work bc I know many guys will be outa town.

Playoffs were always planned to be played on the 6th, that's been a playoff date for now nearly 6 months. Playoffs can not be moved back any deeper due to time conflicts, state games, field reservations, etc. Like I told everyone at the Captain's Meeting, please send us an email if your team needs special times or concerns for that weekend, we will try to accommodate teams as much as possible, but it's playoffs and games must be played.
